Mothers Day shoot
May 16, 2017
Things have been ticking over nicely behind the scenes.
The 'day job' season is about to end, almost finished the last of this seasons weddings, and eagerly awaiting the winter months to devote (even) more time to photography.
Although I love the creative stuff, the formal aspect of portraits hasnt been ignored in my repertoire.
Formal portraiture does have its advantages.
It does have a timeless quality, look back a hundred years of the early days in photography, and these photo's still dont look out of place today.
(I have my great grandparents portrait on my wall from 1896)
Sure fashion comes and goes (think of 80's haircuts), but I would hope the imagery itself becomes a heirloom to be handed down from generation to the next.
The best thing of studio work is that it isnt dependent on the fickle southern weather.
Anytime of the day, and any place.
I can come to you.
The studio is entirely portable, takes only a few minutes to set up up, and the illusion is complete.
We can do this at you place, my place, or anywhere else of your choosing.
It doesnt have to be serious, there are always allot of laughs, let me work my magic.
Of course if a opportunity presents itself, I will grab that too.
Go outside in the rain for the last rays of a sunset?
Hell yeah
